About CutConvert
CutConvertis a set of free file converters for video editors and post-production: EDL to CSV, SRT and VTT subtitles, Avid caption TXT, and Premiere Pro transcripts — including the first working converter for Premiere's binary .prtranscript format. Drop files in, download one ZIP. Free to start, encrypted in transit, and never sold or shared.
Who builds it
CutConvert is built by Greg Thompson (Founder, CutConvert). The converters are written against the real format specifications — CMX3600 EDLs, SubRip and WebVTT subtitle grammars, Adobe's transcript JSON spec — and, where no spec exists, against the file format itself: the .prtranscript support comes from reverse-engineering Premiere's binary FlatBuffers container, because no documented way to convert those files existed. The guides are written from the same specs and from real editor workflows.
How your files are handled
Files are uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, converted on CutConvert's servers, and handed straight back to you as a download. Your media is never sold or shared. Conversion limits by plan are listed on the billing page.
