Questions about plans
- What counts as an hour of interviews?
- The running length of each interview you add, whether or not anyone uses it in the edit. Delete a finished paper edit and its hours come back. A paper edit's lines, sections and notes don't count.
- What's a film pass?
- $19, once, for one paper edit: it holds 25 hours of interviews and 3 producers for good, whatever plan you're on, and its hours don't count toward your plan. Made for the editor with one documentary this year. Unlock it from the paper edit's Interviews panel.
- Does transcription cost extra?
- No. PaperEdit transcribes on your own computer, so there's no charge per hour on any plan. The hours on each plan are how much interview you keep in your paper edits.
- Do producers need a plan?
- No. Producers open your link, type a name and work. The plan belongs to the editor who owns the paper edit, and it sets how many producers can join each one.
- What happens if I go over?
- Nothing you've made stops working. You can't add an interview that would go past your hours, and a new producer can't join a paper edit that's full, until you upgrade or delete an old paper edit.
- Is Pro the same Pro as CutConvert's?
- Yes. One subscription: $9 a month (or $90 a year) for Pro, $19 (or $190 a year) for Studio. It also unlocks CutConvert's converters and Handback.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from your billing page. When the plan ends, nothing you made is deleted; the Free limits apply to new interviews and new producers.
